This is an animation clip of one of my 3d characters falling into a roll. This was an experiment that I ended up taking out of the game because it interfered with a proper landing for the character. When used it would usually allow the character to roll off the end of the platform. I just love the animation though.
I hope to integrate it in situations where the character will die if it leaps from too high of a height, but if the correct button is pushed the character will go into a roll and recover. This is one of those really tough calls. You don’t want to put something into a game just because you like the way it looks. This ability will affect game play so it may be appropriate for some games and not for others.
